Our Themes
Improving health and wellbeing
The Green Halo Partnership can help improve the health and wellbeing of our population by:
- Catalysing new thinking and fresh ideas
- Encouraging partnerships and collaborative working to deliver joint projects and programmes. We are particularly keen to build relationships between the private, public and not-for-profit sectors
- Ensuring decision-making is informed by robust data on the case for investing in health and wellbeing
- Raising awareness of the contribution the natural environment makes to our health and wellbeing.
The Green Health Hub is a Green Halo project managed by the New Forest National Park Authority on behalf of the organisitions and groups represented on the site, collectively known as the Green Health Network.
We will ground all we do in our local environment, ensuring that our natural assets – from woodland, rivers and open spaces to our diverse wildlife – can help improve people’s mental and physical health and wellbeing. In doing so, we will help protect and enhance those assets, and so secure the benefits they offer society.
